The boy took deep breaths the whole way to the zoo.

He squinted his eyes at the sun rising into the sky as its light shown brightly into the halfa's bright green gaze.

"He can't get to you, not anymore, just relax." He was telling himself quietly as he touched down gently into the snake cage, still invisible with Kaa. Danny gulped down a large lump forming in his throat as he set the still unconscious serpent on the ground, watching Kaa turn visible again.

Danny shivered as he had to look at him again and he stepped back, breathing a bit heavier.

"Whew, okay, calm down. . ."

Relaaaaxssss. . .~

"EH!!" Danny yelped and backed up into one of the trees of the exhibit and he shook all over. He grunted, annoyed with himself at hearing the seductive voice in his head.

"Come on!! Get over this already!" He angrily whispered to himself, forcing more deep breaths upon his lungs.

He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to regain his composure before opening them and looking away sharply so he wouldn't catch site of the snake or any others lurking around. . .
